What is a damping cover?

- Sep 25, 2020-

The damping cover is different from the ordinary toilet cover. This cover with damping buffer function can eliminate the harsh noise when the cover is closed with the toilet seat. Instead, the damping cover is made by using the principle of friction resistance. When closing down, you can slow down without any noise. As we all know, the various frictions and other obstacles that attenuate free vibrations are called damping. The "special" component placed on the structural system can provide resistance to movement and reduce energy consumption. We call it a damper.

The use of damping to absorb energy is not a new technology. In the aerospace, aviation, military, gun, and automobile industries, various dampers (or shock absorbers) have been used to reduce vibration and energy. Since the 1970s, people have gradually transferred these technologies to structural projects such as construction, bridges, and railways, and their development has been very rapid.
